When Parents ask why study Abroad The Answer for the student who is willing to Study Abroad

I had to go through 50+ searches with the first 5-6 pages of each search before I tell my parents about my abroad dream. This was not simple nor it would be for the student whose parents had never been gone abroad before. But, I had to face it, although even I successfully convinced my parents but did not achieve my study abroad dream due to my document issues, I think every student should read this because these are the points that I am gonna mention here will help you to convince your parents with more effective way.

Students always get into trouble when their families ask why they want to go to other countries, the especially middle-class student suffers from its lot, not only with parents but also with middle minded society, their school, and relatives too. Every country has its top universities listed in the Forbes rating but why is it beneficial to you to study abroad. Here I am going to list the top 10 Reasons you should know before you convinced your parents to study in another Country.

1. Quality over Quantity

This is the First and Main Reason why to Choose Study Abroad. They have the mindset of not spreading more but digging more. They Focused on One Area Rather than Multiple Subject. Most foreign Universities are top listed because they provide writing syllabus and write material to their students. They have Quality teachers, Quality classmates, and Quality Environment.

2. Holistic Review

This one is my favorite characteristic of Foreign Colleges. They Provide Holistic Review. Holistic Review means You want to get their only with Marks even the Students who have cleared toughest exams like International Olympiad Winners don’t even get there. So, How they evaluate applications? Having a Top-notch mark is IMPORTANT! It is the first step to make Impression on Admission Officer. But along with mark if you failed to have Extracurricular activities that show who you are as a person (like Journals, Sports, Hobbies, Volunteering Etc), your application will be thrown out into the dustbin without seeing your name. Holistic Review based on Competition and the factors of Competition are –

  • Marks (at least top 25% in Class)

  • Extracurricular Activities

  • Essays

  • Recommendation Letter

  • Circumstances

  • Character

  • Intelligence

3. Improve language Skills

Studying in Another Country is the BEST way to learn their Language. Most countries used English as their native language. it is a great opportunity to study in a country where you can learn their language along with your studies. The Majority of students speak the Language where they want to study but in some cases in countries like JAPAN, KOREA, CHINA you need to learn their language to live there.

4. Build a Great Connection

The University where you want to study has a large community of students all over the world and local regions. It not only helps to Build Connections but also Helps in Career opportunities like Internships, Job offers, Businesses, Startups, etc.

5. Discover More

In developing countries, Colleges do not focus on Overall development. But if you choose to study in another more advanced country, you’ll enjoy their study-side activities like Hiking, Camping and many more. Internships, Research Work are the other activities you can Discover there.

6. It’s an International

It is not about State level, National but it is at the level of International where you compete with International Students at International Standard means even if you are at 3rd-4th or even if 10th then that rank would be analogous to much effective than your district level rank. Simply what you do there, is considered as International Achievement and more that would be more prestigious to your career perspective.

7. Being Multi-Learner

This thing I like about foreign universities is that they provide joint programs like Degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, etc. They Provide you an opportunity to work in the areas you like. Some Students choose Music, Dance, Art, Drama along with their Degree.

Even if you don’t get an opportunity to get a Dual degree but you’ll have different Clubs, Teams with which you can Collaborate your Art.

8. Scholarships

This is obvious that your family will doubt their financial situation before giving you permission to study in another country. You should know about scholarships before convincing your parents. So generally talking about US colleges, they provide “Need-based”, “Sponsorships”, “Scholarships” and “Work grant” kind of Scholarships.

Need-Based: Need-based Scholarships means if you are accepted into the college then college will grant you the fees according to your needs. Generally, families with Annual Incomes less than $40K do not pay a single dollar to study.

Sponsorships: Generally, the Rich Alumni provide Sponsorships to the students. you can google it to know more…

Scholarships: There are various ranges of scholarships like DAAD, TATA Scholarships, Fellowships, Merit-based Scholarships are Available to both Domestic and International Students. With Good Information about these scholarships, you can Study abroad without even Paying Single Dollar. Really from Books to Flight tickets, Scholarships will cover all.

Work Grant: A work grant means you do work on the campus along with your studies. generally every student work 2 hours a day, 5days a week with a stipend of around $10/hour.

US, UK, and Canadian Colleges are situated in a large area. They offer more than 200+ courses in a single college. means you can learn and explore more at your own college. no need to go anywhere. Colleges situated in the rural area contain more Nature’s Beauty so whenever you got tired you can hang around campus without any hesitations.

10. Collaboration

Populated Countries like India, China has a 30:1 Student-teacher Ratio. Even In most of the College, it goes around 60:1 This is insane. How can one teacher handle 30-60 Students. But in the Abroad you’ll find This Ratio Around 8:1 means 8 Students per Teacher. Isn’t this cool?

Most parents don’t think About other factors in learning such as Independence, Environment in School, Teacher’s Achievement, and mainly Student-Teacher ratio. These are also the main factors that build a good character. Otherwise, a Good Student may go into depression.

So, Because of the Great ratio, The Collaboration between students and Teacher Increases. Student Do ask Doubt without hesitation. The teacher can Collab more and Understand Students in a way such that the teacher Improves their quality of Intelligence.
