Preparing for Foreign University/ Study Abroad isn't Easy as some private advisors say. This process is time-consuming and required lots of Documents for Student and their Current College. Do not take it and think this gonna be easy. But Do Not Even Worry Because it is hard. It is just Complicated and as I said Before Time Consuming.
After reading hundreds of Ivy League Student's blogs and Online Resources, I found that, Generally, Students start their Preparation One Year Before the Deadline and Submit all Required documents at least one month before the Early Application Deadline. So, My Suggestion is If you don't start yet, then start from today and Mainly Everything in this blog you should know before applying to a foreign University.
1. Select Colleges
Selecting the Best fit university is a major task in this process. Because you have to select colleges according to your financial situation, campus, course, environment, and Scholarships. other Factors are Average Stipeds, medals, Research Opportunities which I think only a Few students Consider.
Because Each College is different and they Have its own Syllabus you should know your College list before you start the application. I suggest choosing at least 15 Colleges in order to make your acceptance chances fair. If you're a student who is also seeking financial aid then I suggest first go through our previous blogs.
TOP 10 UNIVERSITIES IN THE WORLD 2021
I also have written on the best colleges for International Student so Go Through that also.
2. Shortlist Colleges Image Source and Credit: Grammertop.com
You Should remark that you can Apply only for one University for Early Action Deadline, Under ED Agreement and if you got Accepted in the Early Decision, You bind to Enroll in that College.
So, shortlisting Colleges will help you to make your list and Apply Favourite but Specific College by the Early Action Deadline. Why I am Saying Early is, Because, Each college set their Own Requirements for college and You must have to fulfill that requirement in order to complete your profile.
Another Advantage of Shortlisting Colleges is that it can save your money. Colleges in the USA required students to pay an application fee which Costs around $50. Consider, If you won't be eligible for Application Fee Aid, You will need to pay thousands of dollars just to submit an application.
Check this Before Shortlisting Colleges:
